1) This is based on the hadith from jabir bin sumrah who reports "I prayed Id prayer with the messenger (peace be upon him) on more than one occasion without adhan or iqamah" [Muslim]
2) Ibn Abbas and jabir narrate "Adhan was never given on the day of fitr and adha" [ Bukhari]
3) Imam ibn qayyim says "He (peace be upon him) would arrive at the musalla and start the prayer without adhan or iaqama or announcing congregation for prayer. The sunnah is not to do any of that" [Zaad al maad 1:442]
